In his book The Buildings of England - Leicestershire and Rutland  Pevsner wrote:
"Little Beeby, 250 yards south east of the church.  A mid 17th century farmhouse, timber framed in
rectangular panels.  With a cross-passage, but of four bays, not the customary three.  One of the
series of scattered houses that remains of the shrunken medieval village of Beeby."
